In 1986 Chris began working with Unicover Corporation as a freelance illustrator designing stamps and First Day Cover cachet paintings for a variety of countries including the Republic of the Marshall Islands, The Federated States of Micronesia and Sweden.  Chris’ father Paul Calle jointly designed or acted as Art Director for many of these issues and each cover or stamp sheet they worked on together is signed by both Calle’s.
